What we ask of you

Please limit how much information you share with TOJ and our third party vendors to only what is required for you to use our website and our services.  The less information that you provide to us, the less information we have to worry about keeping/deleting/being scared big brother is going to find it, etc.  Basically, through this website, we only want to know you like us, not your life story. We ask that you remember YOU are responsible for how much information you share with us / our website and hope that anywhere on our website that is viewable by other users, you do not place any personally identifiable information.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Any images you upload to the website must be public domain (copyright free) or you must own the rights to the image.  You are responsible to defend any and ALL copyright claims placed against the website for an image you upload and are the sole responsible party for any judgements so ordered by any court, including those caused by your failure to defend the claim.

Analytics

We are pretty sure our web hosting company (just like every other ISP/hosting provider the data is traveling through) is collecting data about the users accessing files through their network, including your IP address, web browser being used, probably your operating system, etc.  We have no control over this data and/or how long the information is stored by them, as this happens outside of our control.  You can view their privacy policy on their website – www.ionos.com

Who we share your data with

We do not actively share your data that you actively shared to our website with anyone, except for data used to place and fulfill product orders.  In the process of fulfilling an order, portions of your data will be shared with our third party vendors and payment processors in so much as required to provide product fulfillment. You can check privacy policies at www.printful.com and www.paypal.com.

TOJ cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. We may therefore disclose personal information, usage data, message data, and any other information about you, if we deem that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process (such as a subpoena or court
order), or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce the Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of TOJ, its users or the public, as required or permitted by law.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We are not in control of how long or to what extent our third party vendors and payment processors store and/or use the data that you share with us/them in placing an order for products.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

We do not actively share your contact information with any third party beyond the data necessary and given to provide product fulfillment and accept payment.
